Spitbank Fort
Spitbank Fort is a sea fortress situated a mile off the Portsmouth Coast, Hampshire. Originally built in 1860, the fort was designed to protect Portsmouth from an invasion by Napolean III and used to house soldiers.
Fast forward to today, it is a luxury venue for hire and hosts special events, private parties and wedding receptions. It can easily sleep 18 people (in 9 luxurious suites) and can accommodate 60 people within the function area. A one night stay will cost a hefty $8,400 and ranges up to $47,101 for a seven night stay. It can only be reached by private boats and therefore has a high level of privacy.
